GECHS May Calendar
Congratulations to Angel Sanchez for being the Laredo Daybreak Rotary Scholarship Recipient.
Congratulations to Yasmin Barron, who earned a 2nd place medal, and Mario Mora earned a 3rd place medal at the LISD chess tournament on April 23rd.
Congratulations to Mia Cuevas, who won first place at UIL Regionals in Spelling and Vocabulary in La Vernia this past weekend. She will participate in the State Competition in Austin on May 7, 2022. We wish Mia and her sponsor, Mrs. K. Ramirez, the best of luck.
It is not surprising that Mia placed first. Spelling Competition is not new to her. Mia has been winning since elementary and middle school, winning four straight years. In 6th grade, she had the honor of representing LISD at the national level. The winning tradition continues. #PhoenixPride
